Young People’s Participation

Young People’s Participation

AYPH is committed to increasing young people’s involvement in decisions that affect their health. We run a variety of projects that amplify the voices of young people in the health and wellbeing sector.

AYPH runs long and short-term projects with young people that explore health in a holistic way and support young people to work with their peers to identify potential solutions to their shared problems. One example is our successful Be Healthy projectwhich ran over three years and resulted in the creation of a wealth of young people led resources.

We undertake a range of participation work on a project and consultancy basis.  Recent examples include work with young people on the NHS Digital Strategy and work with young people involved in an obesity research project.  AYPH supports young people’s involvement in the Children’s Commissioner’s Takeover challenge activities working with the Department of Health, NHS England and Public Health England giving young people an opportunity to work with influential stakeholders.
